Little Kitty, Big City

Little Kitty, Big City is a traversal puzzle game where you help a curious kitten find its way home in an overwhelmingly big city. You play by exploring the city, helping other animals, and hopefully not getting caught. It stands out not only for its cute cat premise but for the living breathing world you get to know to get to where you need to go.

Player vs Game World

You're a curious kitten on an adventure to find your way back home. You have to find out how to get from location to location by traversing architecture and making tight jumps. You can also cling onto walls and foliage to aid your descent.

As you progress you soon realise that you need to interact not only with the city but the things and people you find. Use the objects you find to cause chain reactions that let you get to areas previously unreachable.

The result is a game that's part puzzle, part exploration and part catastrophe-making. It's simple and engaging in a way that younger players will enjoy. It has the feel of a Disney animal movie with a sprinkling of Untitled Goose Game mischief.

Consider time investment

Adventure games often take a long time to finish. Encourage regular breaks to get moving, rest their eyes and balance their time with other activities.

Nurture key skills

Many adventure games incorporate problem solving and critical thinking, important skills for school, work and more offline. Talk to them about their game to see how it supports them and their goals.

Build resilience

Encourage children to take risks with their characters in-game to safely learn potential consequences. Talk about what might happen outside of the game and why it's important to keep those risks in-game only. While playing, encourage them to think about innovative risks their character can take.
