PLAY STYLE
Set in the 1800s, your character holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. You have the rare ability to perceive and master Ancient Magic. But will you use this for good or sinister ends?
Play involves joining as a fifth-year student who is able to manipulate powerful ancient magic. This soon takes you on a dangerous journey as you uncover secrets of the wizarding world. As you progress you grow your character’s abilities by mastering spells, potions and harvesting plants. Along with battling deadly enemies, you make new friends and meet school professors who help you on your way.
It's not an adaptation of the books and films but a story and world anchored in wizarding lore inspired by J.K. Rowling’s books, in which players will find new and unexpected locations, characters and story elements.
GAMEPLAY TRAILER
Start at the right level
Younger players might struggle with fast-paced action sequences, leading to frustration. Consider easy modes if available or take time to practise with them in two-player games where you can support each other.
Game mindfully
Some action sequences can overwhelm children with sensory sensitivity. Talk with your child about recognising when they feel overstimulated and what they can do to support their wellbeing, such as taking a break, updating graphic settings or reducing the game volume.
Use skills offline
Action games often require quick reaction times, quick thinking and good hand-eye coordination. Challenge your child to show off these skills with other activities when they take screen time breaks.

Younger players need to be able to deal with exploring a large world and switching spells quickly in combat. You also need to be able to notice the colour-coding advice to direct your combat. You also need good perseverance when you are lost or losing battles a lot.
Content rating
Rated PEGI 12 for Language and Violence. This game contains frequent moderate violence. The majority of the violence is inflicted using magical spells. Depending on the type of spell used, brightly coloured magical effects appear, making characters grunt in pain and stagger backwards. Some spells can set characters on fire, cause them to levitate, or inflict pain. However, reactions are non-realistic in nature with no visible injuries shown during attacks. The game also includes infrequent use of bad language ('b*!%$y' and 'b@*!%$d').
