The Alto Collection
The Alto Collection is a series of games including Alto's Odyssey and Alto's Adventure. Both are action traversal games where you explore beautiful mountains, dunes and canyons on a snowboarding journey full of serenity and secrets. All you have to worry about is tapping to jump to avoid chasms, rockfalls and other hazards. It's simple and moreish due to the stunning landscapes and to a feeling of flow as you charge down the mountain, but there’s a real skill to doing it well. Alto’s Adventure is a good first sports game because it’s simple to control but requires a deep understanding to master.

PLAY STYLE
Alto's Odyssey follows up to Alto's Adventure that extends the beautiful snowboarding down mountain descents, dunes and canyons. This time there are hot-air balloons, moving grind rails, swirling wind vortexes, rushing water and wall riding. New dynamic lighting and weather effects like sandstorms and shooting stars add to the visuals.
GAMEPLAY TRAILER
Start at the right level
Younger players might struggle with fast-paced action sequences, leading to frustration. Consider easy modes if available or take time to practise with them in two-player games where you can support each other.
Game mindfully
Some action sequences can overwhelm children with sensory sensitivity. Talk with your child about recognising when they feel overstimulated and what they can do to support their wellbeing, such as taking a break, updating graphic settings or reducing the game volume.
Use skills offline
Action games often require quick reaction times, quick thinking and good hand-eye coordination. Challenge your child to show off these skills with other activities when they take screen time breaks.
Skill level age
Suggested by Family Gaming Database
Although it takes skill to get really high scores, very young players can enjoy the feel of skiing down slopes at high speed, chasing llamas.
